Chief Executive Officer of Aviation School made chief

Akropong (Ash), Aug 7, GNA – Mr Stephen Osei Bonsu, Chief Executive Officer of Global School of Aviation, was on Friday installed as the Apesimakahene of Akropong near Abuakwa in the Atwima District of Ashanti under the stool name Nana Osei Asibey Bonsu Bempah I at a colourful ceremony at Akropong.

Nana Bempah, 32, a product of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), is expected under his new role to arbitrate and settle all inter-family quarrels and conflicts in the town.

Swearing the oath of allegiance to Nana Appiah Sarfo-Kantanka, Akroponghene, Nana Bempah pledged to work tirelessly to bring all feuding family factions together to smoke the peace pipe.

He also affirmed his resolve to work in close harmony with his elders to bring about peace between families to ensure the speedy development of the town and urged the people to give him the necessary support to enable him to achieve his objectives.

Nana Sarfo-Kantanka told the new chief not to hesitate to initiate projects that would step up the development of the town.

He charged Nana Bempah to show respect to his people and be committed to finding solutions to family squabbles in the town to bring about the desired unity.
