Kwaku Boahene blasts NPP for spending $5000 on Whisky drink

A Deputy Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kwaku Adu-Boahene, has blasted the Akufo-Addo’s government for spending a whopping $5000 on whisky drink in the United States.

According to him, the president fled to U.S to celebrate birthday with tax payer’s money.

He said, “president Akufo-Addo and his wife went on a trip to the United State for a birthday party, can you imagine and they spent almost $5000 on just whisky drink which is costing about GH?250million in Ghana.”

“Whisky drink is costing only GH?100 in the country but what did our president do, he went with a first class flight to buy whisky.”

“So what prevent you from having a birthday party at the flagstaff house where your predecessors have been doing for far too long”

Explaining further, the outspoken politician, added that, “the government spent the budget money on 196 NPP members out side the country.”

According to him, “the government gave them a first class flight as well as first-class hotel to have fun.”

“Instead of them to use the state money wisely, they are just spending it left and right like that.”

Speaking on UTV evening news, Adu-Boahene stated that, “the NPP is bringing Ghana back to the 1983 era, adding, “there are no palm nut, no maize, even soya beans is a problem, no food.”

“Now Ghana is moving backwards, there is no development but just careless spending of state fund.”

“No wonder Ghanaians in the U.S demonstrated against the Akufo-Addo’s administration for mismanagement, he added.”
