Akufo-Addo launches National Sanitation Campaign today

President Nana Akufo Addo will make a major move towards his commitment of making Accra the cleanest city in Africa as he launches the National Sanitation Campaign today, Monday 13th November 2017.

The campaign which is to be implemented by the Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation is expected to change the attitude of Ghanaians as regards proper sanitation.

According to the sector Minister, Joseph Kofi Adda the campaign will consolidate existing national policies on sanitation.

President Nana Akufo-Addo in April, 2017, promised to make the state capital the cleanest city on the African continent in the next four years.

He urged residents of Accra and environmental stakeholders to support his commitment to rid Accra of filth by the end of my term in office.

“That is the commitment I am making,” he said at a durbar held in his honour and First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, at Mantse Agboona in Accra.
