Two security personnel fined for stealing

Tema, Aug. 04, GNA – The Tema Circuit Court ‘B’ has imposed a fine of 500,000 cedis each, on two security personnel for stealing five chairs from the Sakumono branch of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC).

Daniel Kpegolo and Samuel Boti pleaded guilty and each of them would be gaoled for six months in default.

Prosecuting, Police Inspector Ben Agbedanu told the court presided over by Mr Stephen Teye that, at about 0400 hours on July 15, 2004, the two accused persons conspired and stole the chairs valued at 250,000 cedis. He said a police patrol team spotted them with the chairs concealed in a fertiliser sack and caused their arrest.
