Veeps convoy did not kill girl -Veep?s Reps

The special assistant to the minister of Tourism and Modernization of the Capital city, Ferdinand Ayim, has described as false and malicious a newspaper report that a car in the vice president?s convoy killed a girl over the weekend.

The Ghanaian Voice newspaper reported Wednesday that a car in the vice presidents convoy knocked down the girl while returning from the Emancipation Day celebrations at Assin Manso in the central region killing her instantly.

But, Mr. Ayim who was at also in Assin Manso at the time denied the newspaper report.

He said that the vehicle that knocked down the girl by a lady driver who was not part of the convoy.

He said the journalist who wrote the story could have found out the truth if he had checked with the police and the hospital in the town.
