Farmers appeal to assembly to rehabilitate road

Tenewohoye (Ash), Aug 3, GNA – Cocoa farmers from 10 communities in the Atwima District have appealed to the assembly and the Department of Feeder Roads to rehabilitate the road linking Tenewohoye to the Kumasi-Bibiani trunk road to facilitate the carting of cocoa and foodstuffs. Speaking to the GNA on Tuesday, Nana Baffour Gyau, the chief of Tennewohoye, said the deplorable roads had brought hardships to farmers as drivers sometimes refused to work in the area. Nana Gyau said maintenance of the road had been irregular resulting in its present state.
