Pioneer Food Cannery donates towards Homowo

Tema Manhean, Aug 03, GNA – The Management of Pioneer Food Cannery Limited, producers of tuna flakes, on Tuesday presented some of the company’s products and cash to the Tema Traditional Council for the celebration of this year’s Homowo festival which falls on August 14. The company presented 10 cartons of tuna flakes, solid, chunks, five million cedis and a crate of schnapps to the Council.

Dr Eric Kwei, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company who made the presentation, said the gesture aimed at strengthening the cordial relations existing between the company that is 10 years in Tema and the council. Nii Adjei Kraku the second, chief of Tema, expressed gratitude to the donors. He appealed to business organisations operating within the city to offer scholarships to brilliant but needy students and to build schools to promote education.
