Former President John Dramani Mahama has been beseeched by Regional Chairmen of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to contest the 2020 presidential election on the ticket of the party.
A statement signed by the ten Regional Chairmen and issued on Thursday said their call is in tune with the wish of many in the country.
“[We have] called on HE John Dramani Mahama to consider the request of teeming supporters of the NDC and Ghanaians to lead the party to the 2020 General Elections”, the statement said.
The Regional Chairmen came into this conclusion after a meeting held with the former president on Thursday November 09, 2017, in Cantonments, Accra.
