Akufo-Addo backing vigilante groups – Kwakye Ofosu

The rebuke comes after the Invincible Forces allegedly assaulted the presiding member for Ada East on Friday during the confirmation of the DCE nominee, Sarah Dugbakie Pobee.

A former Minister of Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has ripped into President Nana Akufo-Addo over the recent acts of lawlessness by vigilante groups associated with the governing New Patriotic Party.

The rebuke comes after the Invincible Forces allegedly assaulted the presiding member for Ada East on Friday during the confirmation of the DCE nominee, Sarah Dugbakie Pobee.

In a Facebook Saturday, he said the President has eroded the authority of the state and allowed lawlessness and thuggery to flourish.

“Kofi Koomson’s cryptic words in that haunting tape ring eternal. He definitely knew what he was talking about when he said he could not sleep easy with Akufo Addo as President.

“No President has by his inaction and tacit approval, done more to erode the authority of the state and allow lawlessness and plain thuggery to flourish as the incumbent.”
