Police in Adeiso in the Eastern Region have apprehended 13 suspects who were hired to allegedly assassinate the chief of Adeiso, Osabarima Asare Oduro.
The suspects who are believed to have come from Kasoa were arrested this afternoon by a police patrol team following a tip-off.
A source at the palace disclosed that the Gyaasehene, who has since been protesting his destoolment masterminded the assassination attempt.
District police commander, ASP Nathan Apraku Yeboah said the suspects could not achieve their aim because the targeted chief had traveled.
According to him, all the 13 suspects including the Gyaasehene are currently in their custody while they look into the case.
