Accra, July 27, GNA – An unidentified motorcyclist on Tuesday died on the spot when a Mercedes Benz truck with registration number GT 4547G hit him on the Independence Avenue between Ako Adjei Interchange and Ridge Roundabout.
A source at the Central Accra Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) of the Ghana Police Service told the GNA that the deceased, yet to be identified, was riding an unregistered motorcycle from the Interchange towards the Roundabout when the accident occurred. He is believed to be a Muslim.
The body has been deposited at the Police Hospital Morgue. Mr Hussein Ibrahim, Driver of the Mercedes Benz truck, is helping the MTTU in their investigations.
