Karaga NPP chairman, 3 others arrested for alleged attacks

The Northern Regional Police Command has arrested the Karaga Constituency New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman and three others for allegedly attacking the Karaga District Chief Executive and a Police station to free their colleagues.

Confirming the arrest to GBC’s Radio Ghana, the Director General in charge of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service, ACP David Eklu, said the suspects have been charged with assault and causing damage.

He spoke to GBC’s George Asekere on our news and current affairs programme ‘Behind the news’.
