Stop the talk, act now – Inusah Fuseini urges Akufo-Addo

Hon. Inusah Fuseini has lashed out at President Nana Akufo Addo for continuing to give Ghanaians assurances that vigilante violence in the country will be dealt with, and rather make use of the powers of his office to do something about the problem.

Speaking on Joy News, the former Minister of Lands and Resources expressed that President Nana Akuffo Addo’s pledges to deal with the issue have not been enough to deal with the issue. The former NDC presidential appointee stated that previous assurances have been made that failed to deal with the problem adequately.

“The President should stop talking and act! The President has enough executive authority to deal with this lawlessness, and there must be no attempt to justify the lawlessness that is happening now on the basis of mass occurrence.” He said.

According to Hon. Inusah Fuseini, being the President, Nana Akufo Addo has the power to do more where the police service fall short. He also blamed individuals of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), who he says some of whom have purposely encouraged acts of vigilante violence.

“When the Delta Forces were arrested, an NPP MP said it will be a serious blunder if these people were punished and that these people contributed tremendously to the victory of the party. NPP condemned them as a party but the NPP leadership individually said they were ready to defend these people.” He said.
