350 Zabzugu BECE candidates urged to re-sit Science paper

The Education Ministry is urging some 350 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in Zabzugu, whose Integrated Science examination results were cancelled, to register and re-sit the exam in February, 2018.

According to the Education Minister, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the said students were involved in mass cheating which is an affront to the laws of the land.

He made this known when he appeared before Parliament on Friday, October 27 to answer a question by Member of Parliament (MP) for Zabzugu, Alhassan Umar, on plans for the affected students.

He said the affected students should apply as private candidates to write the papers again “if they have not been banned for some number of years“.

Dr Opoku-Prempeh subsequently cautioned all students to desist from examination malpractices because they will not be spared if caught.
