Minister leads Ahmadis delegation to UK

Accra, July 26, GNA – Mr Mogtari Sahanun, The Upper West Regional Minister, would lead a 15-member Ghanaian delegation to attend the annual Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission’s International Convention at Tilford, United Kingdom.

Over 30,000 Ahmadis from around the world would attend the conference scheduled for July 30 to August 1.

A statement from the Ahmadiya Muslim Mission in Ghana said the convention would be opened by the Supreme Head of the Ahmadiya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifaul Masih V.

The statement signed by Mr Ahmad N. Twumasi, Public Relation Officer of the Mission, said the convention would discuss social and religious problems facing the world and evolve possible solutions. It said distinguished Muslims and non-Muslims guests, from the UK, Africa, Asia, America and Australia would address the conference on topics of grave concern and importance to humanity.

“The convention will also review the impact of projects undertaken by the Ahmadiyya Community in various countries aimed at providing educational and health services to the people,” the statement said 26 July 04
