Tamale MCE faces impeachment over dubious contracts

The Tamale Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) , Mohammed Iddrisu Musah Superior has found himself in trouble as some members of his assembly move to impeach him.

The assembly members who are accusing Mr Superior of lack of respect and financial under-dealings have started a petition for his impeachment.

The petition which is seeking to trigger Section 20 clause 4(a) of the Local Government Act 2016 (Act 936), has already been signed by 31 assembly members out of 58.

Section 27 of the Act suggests the processes for passing a vote of no confidence in Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) In the petition.

Mohammed Iddrisu Musah Superior is alleged to have issued contracts under dubious means.
