Ga Mantse crisis: Situation under control – Afia Tenge

The Greater Accra Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), ASP Afia Tenge, says the chaos that erupted following the press conference to install a Ga Mantse is under control.

Four persons were arrested on Wednesday, after chaos erupted during a press conference by the Abola Piam We (Clan), at Ga Mashie in Accra, following threats by the Royal House to install a new Ga Mantse.

According to the Abola Piam We, it is the rightful clan to install a new Ga Mantse.

Speaking to Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive, Greater Accra Regional police PRO, ASP Afia Tenge stated that the Ghana Police Service will not hesitate to arrest persons believed to be breach the peace in the Ga Land.

She added that the Ghana Police Service is still assessing the situation.
