Driver on bail for stealing a taxi

Tema, July 22, GNA – The Tema Circuit Court ‘A’ has granted a 10 million-cedi bail to a driver who allegedly stole a taxi he was engaged to drive.

Tetteh Nartey, alias TT pleaded not guilty to stealing and will reappear on August 8, 2004.

Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Mary Assunta told the Court presided over by Mr Charles Asiedu that, on November 2003, Ms Mary Doe the complainant, employed Tetteh to drive her taxi. She said on March 2004, the accused took the taxi away for business but failed to return.

On June 12, 2004, Tetteh was arrested at his hideout in Koforidua and charged with the offence.
