Include health issues in business advisory schemes- Nurse

Aflao, July 20, GNA – Mrs Christie Gbleke, a Senior Nursing Officer, has expressed the need for designers of business advisory schemes to include health related issues.

This she said would help prevent common ailments like malaria; sexually transmitted diseases, drug related problems and promote reproductive health.

Mrs Gbleke made the call on Monday at a health forum organised by AIDEZ Small Project International-Ghana (ASPI), an indigenous non-governmental organisation at Aflao, for applicants seeking credit assistance from the organisation.

She noted that, such an innovation could help beneficiaries to adopt healthy habits and enhance productivity.

The forum was part of a policy of the ASPI to expose loan applicants to methods of preventing common illnesses to enable them reap the full benefits of their investments.

The participants appealed to the Government to subsidise the price of chemically treated mosquito nets, explaining that, the current price range of 60,000 cedis and 95,000 cedis of was beyond the reach of many Ghanaians. GNA
