Techiman to collect more revenue

Techiman, July 19, GNA- The Techiman Zonal Council has launched an exercise to boost revenue collection in the municipality. Mr Kofi Nimoh, Finance Officer of the Council who said this at a meeting of 20 revenue collectors, advised them to redouble efforts to improve revenue collection.

“It is only when people pay their taxes regularly that the government can have funds to provide amenities”, he said. The finance officer cautioned the collectors to avoid partisan politics, since “using politics to influence the tax-payer is dangerous”.
