Past students donate to alma mater

Akim Oda, July 15, GNA – Mr The Headmaster of the Oda Secondary School (ODASCO), Mr David Afosah-Anim, has commended the spirit of voluntarism among past students of the school to help reclaim the past glory of their alma mater.

Mr Afosah-Anim said this when the 1979 Year Group of the school erected a new bronze statue of a scholar to replace the concrete one. The occasion was to mark the 25th anniversary celebration of the group.

Led by Mr George Ackom, a mechanical engineer, the past students advised the students to study hard to justify the huge investments their parents and the government were making towards their education.

Rev. Dr Samuel Ocran, a member of the group, appealed to parents to give the teachers a free hand to discipline the students when they go wrong.
