Kumasi (Ashanti Region) 28 Oct. ’98 The Ashanti Region branch of the Kufuor Fan Club has congratulated Mr John Agyekum Kufuor on his election as NPP flag-bearer for the 2000 elections.
A release signed by Mr Charles Darboh, Ashanti regional chairman of the club in Kumasi, said the club will support and rally behind Mr Kufuor to win the elections.
The club advised Mr Kufuor to be tolerant and receptive to ideas and tackle problems which may arise to keep the party on an even keel.
The club also congratulated the five other aspirants who contested with Mr Kufuor for their honesty and hoped they would assist him to lead the party to victory in the elections and “usher Ghana into the next millennium with greater success”.
