Police in the Ashanti region have gunned down four armed robbers at Manso Nkwanta in the Amansie West district of the region.
The robbers according to Ultimate News’ Isaac Bediako Justice blocked a main road in the mining community Wednesday dawn and robbed passengers who were travelling of their valuables.
The heavily armed men later engaged the police in a shootout in an attempt to escape but they were killed by the officers.
The remains of the robbers according to reports, are being conveyed to Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital. The Police is expected to hold a press conference Wednesday afternoon to give further details of the robbery incident.
