Two dead as Konkomba, Fulani clash in Kintampo

Unconfirmed reports reaching abusuafmonline.com indicates there was a violent clash between Konkomba settlers and Fulani herdsmen Kawampe, near Kintampo in the Brong Ahafo Region.

Two Fulani men are reported to have lost their lives. According to eyewitness report, “one Fulani man was slaughtered like an animal whilst the other one was also gunned down.”

Another person sustained serious gunshot wounds and has been rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for medical attention.

Reports suggest, just last three weeks, a similar clash occurred between the two tribes leading to the unfortunate killing of over 10 Fulani men and one Konkomba tribesman.

Municipal Chief Executive for the area, the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister and the Regional Police Commander have therefore been called upon by residents to act in order to avoid further bloodbaths.

Residents are also calling on the police to intensify security surveillance to avert any reprisal attack and ensure law and order.
