Appianyinasehene endorses Free SHS

Chief of Appianyinase in the Ejisu-Juabeng Municipality in the Ashanti Region Nana Kwanin Kwamfo II, has yet again rallied massive support for schools in the Juabeng Traditional Area by providing them with stationery items worth thousands of Cedis.

In all, 15 first cycle institutions comprising Islamic, Presby, Methodist, Roman, Anglican LA, Madam Smith, Kubease DA JSS, Duaponpoh, Boama Duase, Atia DA, New Koforidua (two), among others benefited from the support (packets of exercise books, pens, pencils, rulers and mathematical sets).

The gesture, which has become an annual ritual in support of the Otufuo Osei Tutu II Educational vision, forms part of Nana Kwanin Kwamfo II quest to support the president Akufo-Addo’s Free SHS policy.

As a result, he has urged parents to support government’s Free SHS policy by providing their wards with basic education needs.

He said the President, Nana Akufo Addo, should not be allowed to carry basic burdens like provision of stationery items having taken such a step to ensure free secondary education for every Ghanaian child.

He said after the presentation ceremony “This is in line with Otumfuor Osei Tutu II’s educational vision, we have been doing this for some time, and this year’s has coincided with President’s Akufo-Addo’s Free SHS policy.

Parents should support this laudable and bold initiative, so together, we can build a better future for our children and our country.”

The Appianyinase chief praised President Akufo-Addo highly for the free SHS program aimed at lessening the financial burden on parents.
