Police hunt for woman harbouring armed robbers

The Sissala East District Police Commander, ASP Stephen Abanga has revealed that his men are on the hunt for a woman who is allegedly harbouring armed robbers terrorizing residents of the area.

He disclosed that the robbers mostly from neighbouring Burkina Faso are housed by the suspect from where their operations are hatched before striking on their targets.

ASP Abanga’s revelation on Tumu-based Radford FM follows the arrest of two suspected armed robbers in their bid to rob a resident of the area.

The Police Chief will not give further details of the woman in question but hinted his men are closing up on her and will soon get her apprehended to face the full rigours of the law.

‘There is actually one woman that we are looking for, who we believe is an accomplice to the robbers, we are closing up on her and very soon we will trail her, she can run but can’t hide’, the Commander hinted.

He assured residents of maximum protection indicating that measures have been put in place to protect lives and property and called on residents to volunteer suspicious characters to the police to help nib criminal activities in the bud.
