ADB grants loan to 120 members of 31st December

Mpraeso (Eastern Region) 25 Oct. ’98 The Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) through the 31st December Women’s Movement has granted loans totalling 7.4 million cedis to 120 members of the movement in the Kwahu South district under the poverty reduction programme.

Each member of the movement received 60,000 cedis, to be repaid within one year. Mrs Esther Kpabitey, regional co-ordinator of the ADB who paid out the loans to the members who are mostly gari processors and palm kernel extractors, advised them to use the loans to expand their businesses to enable them to repay .

The district organiser of the movement, Ms Rebecca Asante, thanked the management of the ADB for the assistance and gave the assurance that the loans would be repaid on schedule for other members to benefit.
