NDC mourns death of “staunch” woman activist

Berekum (B/A), June 26, GNA – The death of Madam Afia Manu, described, as a staunch activist of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Berekum, is a great loss to the Party in the Berekum constituency, the Party’s Constituency Chairman, Mr Isaac Kwadwo Obeng, has said. “It is a big blow to our activities, a big loss,” Mr Obeng told the Ghana News Agency in Berekum.

Madam Manu died on Thursday, June 16 at the age of 60 years. She hailed from Nsapor, a farming community in the Berekum District. Until her death, Madam Manu was the chairperson of the NDC’s Welfare Club.

Mr Obeng said she played her role diligently. “She really performed her duties to the expectation of other members. She was very accommodating, cordial and cooperative,” he said.
