Agosa (B/A) June 24, GNA- The Reverend Father Simeon Gyansa Tabiri of St. Paul’s Catholic Parish at Nsuta near Techiman in Brong-Ahafo, has urged traditional rulers to do away with litigation and use their royalties for development. Litigation, he said, breeds misunderstanding and hatred, which retard progress of any community, he said. Rev. Fr. Tabiri was interacting with the chiefs and a section of the people at Agosa on Wednesday as part of a reconciliatory meeting to resolve a misunderstanding between Mr. Johnson Gabriel Yeboah, Assembly Member and Nana Yaw Agyei, Krontihene of Agosa traditional area.
Mr. Yeboah had allegedly accused Nana Agyei of misappropriating some bags of cement donated to the community by Mr. Prince Oduro-Mensah, MP for Techiman South for the moulding of concrete poles for an electrification project. Nana Agyei however denied the allegation. As a result of that, the youth in the area had also refused to attend communal labour as they all supported Mr. Yeboah. Rev.Fr. Tabiri stressed that the area would enjoy rapid development if there was peace. 24 June 04
