Ashanti Regional Minister commission projects in Ejisu-Juaben

Nobewam (Ash), June 16, GNA – Mr Sampson Kwaku Boafo, Ashanti Regional Minister, has commissioned a 1.73 million-cedi electrification project at Nebewam in the Ejisu-Juaben District as part of an official visit to the area.

Mr Boafo also commissioned a school block, comprising six classrooms; an office; a store; library and sanitary facilities built at the cost of 600 million cedis at Donyina.

He performed similar functions at Boamadumase where the people had benefited from a 520 million- cedi market facility and Tikrom where 550 million cedis have been spent in providing the community with a three-unit classrooms block, office store and KVIP toilet facility. Mr Boafo asked the beneficiary communities to maintain the facilities to enhance their lifespan.

The Regional Minister said government was embarking on rural electrification projects to promote the establishment of cottage industries to create opportunities for the youth.

He said government was making efforts to rehabilitate all roads in the district to facilitate economic activities.

Mr Boafo interacted with the people of Achiase, Peminase and Adumasa where he inspected on-going development projects. Nana Otuo Serebour, Omanhene of the Juaben Traditional Area, commended the government for initiating development projects to improve the standard of living of the people.
