Nkoranza (B/A), June 16, GNA- Mr. Thomas Owusu-Ansah, Nkoranza South Constituency Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has urged members to continue to rally behind the party. He said the party was still strong and expressed the hope that it would win this year’s general election. The Secretary as addressing party members at a meeting at Nkoranza on Tuesday to discuss the constituency’s primaries scheduled for Tuesday, June 29.
Mr. Owusu-Ansah advised party members not to allow themselves to be swayed to other parties and urged the electorate to do the election campaign peacefully. Mr. Adonteng Gyimadu, Nkoranza-Ayerede Zonal Chairman of the party denied that some NDC members in the area had defected to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
“Such propaganda is only meant to make NDC members feel dejected and consequently join other parties. It is not true that NDC is losing members at Ayerede”, he said.
