The Guide

The Guide reports in a front page story that Nana Akwasi Boakye, a 43-year-old businessman from Akropong-Akuapem in the Eastern Region, is petitioning the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) to help him take custody of his four-year-old son, Barima Yaw Aning-Boakye from his estranged wife, Mary Fianko.

According to the paper, the wife is alleged to have dumped the son at a police barracks while she is engaging in “illicit activities” at Takoradi in the Western Region.

The Guide quotes Nana Boakye as saying that the behaviour of his estranged wife may disturb the son’s upbringing. He told the paper that for the past two years, he has never set eyes on his son. GRI
