CHALE WOTE 2017: Scores exhibit mega talents

Music, dance, arts in painting, fashion are among the numerous ways talents are being displayed during the Chale Wote festival at James Town.

The 7th annual Chale Wote Street Art Festival which started 14th August 2017 in Accra has reached its peak as several Ghana-based and international artists exhibit their works in 15 venues across the city.

The week-long program which is under the theme: ‘WATA MATA’ saw a grand opening with energetic performances from some cultural groups and has maintained that energy.

Gaining huge turnouts since its inception in 2011, CHALE WOTE 2017 was no different as scores flooded James Town with great anticipation and excitement.

The event is giving a platform to appreciate various talents from all specs by creating avenues such as a fashion circus, exhibitions and live arts, live music on 3 music stages, a CHALE WOTE Art Fair where varied art pieces will be displayed and made available for purchase.

CHALE WOTE over the years has been the catalyst for the growth of the creative arts industry in Ghana as it creates the environment for arts to be appreciated and a platform for a bigger audience for arts by giving access to the general public.
