Elmina June 12, GNA – A District Court at Elmina on Friday remanded Kweku Daben, a 22-year-old carpenter, for defiling a 13-year old cripple at Komenda.

The accused would reappear on Friday June 25. Prosecuting, Inspector Joshua Eduful, told the court presided over by Mr Kwame Ohene-Essel that the victim live with her parents in the same area with the accused.

The Prosecutor said on May 30 this year at about 2000 hours, when the victim was on her way to watch television at another house, the accused lured her into an uncompleted building and sexually abused her. Insp Eduful said though the suspect warned the victim not to tell anyone about the act, she later reported the incident to her mother who also informed the police about it.
