United States students donate books and computers to library

Cape Coast, June 9, GNA- A group of students from Regis University, Denver of the United States (U.S.) on Wednesday donated items worth 10,000 dollars to the Cape Coast castle children library. The items included Afrocentric books, two desktop computers and four-laptop computers.

Mr Awon Atuire Service Learning Coordinator of the University said the donation was in response to an appeal by management of the castle. He said the group was also in the country to study African history and African culture.

He said the donation would help enhance the relationship between the two institutions.

Mr Leo Yankson, the librarian thanked the group for the items and pledged that they would be put to good use.
