Former Municipal Chief Executive for Ejisu-Juabeng Municipality, Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh has said that the founder of the National Democratic Congress [NDC] party, Jerry John Rawlings is in bed with the ruling New Patriotic Party.
According to him, the former President he knew years ago is not the same personality sees currently, adding Mr. Rawlings has changed totally to his consternation.
The former MCE speaking on Abusua Nkomo hosted by Kwame Adinkra, Yamoa Ponkoh said ”NDC is Rawlings and Rawlings is NDC. We all know him to be a pillar of the NDC Party but his recent utterances and coordination with the Akuffu Addo’s government clearly indicates he’s belongs to their party”.
He alleged Rawlings gave the NPP a convincing message that won them the 2016 general elections.
Mr. Afrifa Yamoah believes the recent actions of the NDC’s founder is collapsing and painting the party he governed for several years claiming his consistent criticism against the late Prof. Mills’ and John Mahama’s administration engineered the party’s shameful defeat in the 2016 polls.
He adds” It is about a time NDC spoke to Rawlings to desist from making such unpleasant comments and think about the progress of the party”.
Yamoah Ponkoh concluded by commending Dr. Velary Sawyer for the recent jab on the former president saying it would help the party to heal its wounds.
