Kete-Krachi: Eight trafficked children rescued

Partners in Community Development (PACODEP) a Non-Governmental Organisation based at Kete- Krachi in the Krachi West District of the Volta region has rescued eight trafficked children sent to work in some communities along the Volta Lake.

PACODEP established over a decade ago has been rescuing trafficked children mostly from coastal towns in the country.

Most of the children are sent to work in various communities along the Volta Lake in the Volta region.

Executive Director and Founder of PACODEP, George Achibrah Snr. revealed that more needs to be done to rescue hundreds of children trafficked.

According to him, if the country wants to achieve SDG 4 which is about quality education, then most children abandoned and trafficked must be rescued for them to be given a better education.
