We want a breakdown of our fees – GIJ Students to management

Some concerned final year students of the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) are demanding a breakdown of the astronomical fees paid to the school.

They are requesting the school authorities to break down their fees arguing that their fees keep increasing instead of decreasing.

Speaking to Ultimate News in an interview, they complained that they have been paying GH¢2,000 since their first year saying their predecessors paid less as they moved from one level to another.

Students further carped that they are being prevented from using electricity on campus and that the WIFI system has not been stable.

In an interview with some final year students, they disclosed that the school authorities do not itemize their fees.

“We are not allowed to use electricity on campus making it very difficult for us to use our laptops and phones for academic purposes. Our WIFI is also not working, yet we are billed outrageously.

“We are only asking for a breakdown of our fees. we just want to know what they are using our monies for,” the students lamented.
