GBC Deputy Director General Resigns

Kenneth Ofori Amankwah, the Deputy Director General of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation has finally resigned.

His resignation comes amid moves by the GBC Board to get the National Media Commission to confirm the appointment of the Director General, Ms Eva Lokko who remains on probation.

Sources close to the NMC told the STATESMAN that Amankwah tendered in his letter of resignation, citing impediments put in his way, which prevented him from giving his best to GBC.

STATESMAN further learnt that the Board based its recommendation for the confirmation of Eva Lokko?s appointment on what they see as her astute management of the Corporation?s finances.
