Tema-based Consolidated Shipping Agencies (CONSHIP), has donated several hospital equipment worth GHc10,000 to the Tema General Hospital.

The gesture, according to CONSHIP, aside being part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), serves as part of the company’s 21st anniversary celebrations since it establishment.

Items presented to the hospital include, pulse oxidizer flow meter, function machine, wheel chairs etc.

It is the first time CONSHIP is making donation to the hospital, but it General Managing (GM), Accra, John Ayesu Oppong, said they will make it a point to periodically donate to support the hospital to improve health delivery in that part of the Greater Accra Region.

According to Mr Oppong, his outfit is committed to remain in constant touch with the hospital so that anytime they will need their support, they will come to their aid. He pleaded with industries and companies in the industrial city, to support the hospital in whichever way they can adding the facility is in dire need of such initiatives.

“This is our first but as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, we will want to continue doing it in future. If you know Tema General Hospital well, some of the conditions you see here, should not be that of a hospital which in is in the middle of Tema, where it serves a lot of people. So, aside we doing this, we call on other well meaning people to come on board so that we can all support the hospital. ”, he said.

The Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Kwabena Opoku Edusei, expressed gratitude to CONSHIP for the equipment and promised they will be put to good use.

Dr Opoku Edusei, asked others, in and around Tema, to emulate the donation by the company, and support them to enhance quality health delivery for all.
