Today Newspaper holds 4th Annual Lectures

Today Newspaper has organised the 4th of its Annual Lectures in Accra on Thursday, 20th July 2017 on the theme ‘Using Digital Technology to Accelerate Business Growth’.

General Manager of the paper, Vicky Wireko-Andoh in her address stated that the lecture contributes to the generation of national dialogue “discussing some of the things that pertain to business, sometimes to governance and sometimes social issues all to develop our society”.

She said the theme was chosen to help throw some light on how digital technology is helping in different areas.

“In this 21st century, there is no denial that digital technology continues to shape our lives and our world. Technology has brought the world closer than before hence the global village that we talk about. News happening in one corner of the world is cascaded and beamed in another corner in the filming it,” she said.

CEO of Vodafone Ghana, Yolanda Cuba lectured on the topic ‘How digital finance could boost growth in emerging economies’.

IT professional, Kwasi Boakye Acheampong also gave a lecture on ‘Using technology to extend economic opportunities and key services to millions of people’.

The final lecture on the topic ‘The role of technology in today’s Banking’ was given by the General manager of Micro-Enterprise at the GN Bank, Kofi Asamoah-Siaw.
