Wrath of 77 deities invoked on Minister and Cape Coast Mayor

The aggrieved Assembly members and Kotokruaba market women have invoked the gods of the area to struck dead two political figures of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Central Region.

They are demanding that the Regional Minister, Mr. Kwamina Duncan and Mayor of Cape Coast, Mr. Ernest Arthur be struck dead by the 77 deities for allegedly sharing the refurbished ultra modern market stores to their party members.

Before invoking the powers of the 77 gods, the concerned assembly members led the irate Kotokruaba market women including some residents of the area to march through the principal streets of Cape Coast to demonstrate their displeasure regarding how the reconstructed of Kotokruaba market allocation is being handled by these two political figures.

The protesters clad in red danced through the ceremonial streets wielding placards some of which read “Stop sharing the Kotokruaba market to your party members, Kotokruaba market is not for political party, Don’t sell the market to Nigerians, we regret voting for NPP, Kwamina Duncan and Ernest Arthur are disgrace to President among others.

The protesters later converged at the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly (CCMA) to present their petition to the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) where they were addressed by the Assembly member of Tamesease electoral area, Mr. George Arthur.

While pouring libation to invoke curses on these two political figures with eggs and Schnapps, the concerned assembly members and irate market women asked gods to kill Mr. Duncan and Arthur.

Mr. Arthur, who received the petition, assured the irate market women that Justice will prevail since the Cape Coast High court has granted an injunction restraining the authorities from going ahead to distribute the stores.

According to lawyer Victor Kwadjoga Adawudu who is counsel for the CCMA, the Cape Coast High Court has placed an interlocutory injunction on the redevelopment of Kotokruaba market restraining traders from transacting business in the new market.

He therefore warned market women who have sent their items to the newly constructed market to relocate before they are cited for contempt.
