Preparing questions before meeting president unprofessional – Kwesi Pratt

Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr, says it is unprofessional to prepare questions before meeting with the President.

Kwesi Pratt Jnr in an interview with Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive noted that it would be surprising to set questions when you have no idea of what the speaker will talk about. He added that professionals in the media game do not do that.

According to him, you only put down questions when the speaker is making a point which you think is not clear enough.

“Why do you go to press conferences with prepared questions? It is never done, wait for speakers to make their point and then ask follow up questions”, he explained.

The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, is set to meet the Ghanaian press today to assess his six months stay in office.

The President is expected to address media persons from some selected media houses at the event and then proceed to a questions and answers section.

The event is scheduled to take place at the Banquet Hall of the Flagstaff House later in the day.
