US-based Immigration lawyer to contest for NDC Primiries

Agona Nsaba, May 19, GNA- A Ghanaian Immigration Lawyer in New York City, Mr Theophilus Maranga, at the close of nominations on April 30, filed his nomination papers to contest the Agona East NDC primaries. Mr Maranga is to challenge the incumbent, Mr Samuel Adu-Yeboah.
Mr Isaac Kofi Yankson, constituency secretary of the NDC told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview at Agona Nsaba on Wednesday. Mr Yankson said the constituency executives had submitted the nomination forms to Regional Headquarters in Cape Coast for onward transmission to National Headquarters in Accra for vetting and the primaries.
The constituency secretary urged supporters of the contestants to conduct their campaigns in a peaceful manner, devoid of intimidation and insulting behaviours.
He said the NDC believes in democracy, so the executives would not impose any candidate on members and cautioned the executives to remain neutral in the primaries.
