Don’t neglect NPP grassroots – Wontumi to Ministers, MMDCEs

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly called Chairman Wontumi has urged Ministers, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), Board of Directors not to neglect the grassroots that worked tirelessly to secure power for the party.

Chairman Wontumi was speaking at the NPP’s Ashanti Regional Delegates’ Congress at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) on Sunday July 16, 2017.

Chairman Wontumi said “NPP party won the December 2016 general elections due to grassroots’ hardworking and their supporters, therefore I am urging party officials not to neglect the grassroots”.

Chairman Wontumi further urged them not to forget the party grassroots who sacrificed their lives for the party to win the 2016 elections.

“Neglecting the grassroots supporters of the party can affect the party in the next elections,” he said.

Chairman Wontumi, therefore, urged the party officials to work closely with government to achieve the vision of President Akufo-Addo.

Some of the NPP’s executives and ministers include: John Boadu acting general secretary, Senior Minister Yaw Osafo Marfo, Isaac Asiamah sports minister, Nana Obiri Boahen deputy general secretary, Kumasi Mayor Osei Assibey Antwi, Sammi Awuku Youth organiser, Anthony Akoto Osei Monitoring and Evaluation minister, Ashanti regional minister Simon Osei Mensah, Elizabeth Agyemang deputy Ashanti regional minister, Sam Pyne Ashanti regional secretary and others.
