Cocobod ladies give to Dunkwa Hospital Children’s Ward

Dunkwa-on-Offin (C/R), May 18, GNA – The ladies club of the Dunkwa Quality Control Division of the Ghana Cocoa Board on Monday presented food items valued at two million cedis to the children’s ward of the Dunkwa Government Hospital at Dunkwa-on-Offin in the Upper Denkyira district.

The items included milk, sugar, rice, bread, biscuits, pineapples and oranges.

Presenting the items, the vice-president of the club, Miss Veronica Boateng, said the donation was the club’s contribution towards the needs of the children.

The matron of the hospital, Mrs Elizabeth Essel, received the items on behalf of the hospital and thanked the donors for their kind gesture. She appealed to individuals and benevolent organizations to emulate the ladies club in promoting health care delivery in the district. Earlier, members of the club undertook a two-hour clean-up exercise at the hospital. 18 May 04
