30 PWDs to be absorbed into herbal medicine production

Dr Samuel Ampomah, renowned chief executive officer for Doctor Ampomah Herbal Centre, a health institution located at Abuakwa has pledged to absorb thirty (30) persons with disability within Atwima Nwabiagya District In Ashanti region into his outfit as a complement to government’s efforts towards creating employment opportunities that will push them(PWDs) into the job market.

Thirty(30) physically challenged persons who will stand the chance of been recruited per the foregoing initiative he disclosed will also be trained in the production of diverse herbal medicines, fixed on a monthly salary so that they can earn something for a living.

Others he again underlined will be engaged in the selling of herbal products in mini kiosks at vantage points within the district and that parents of disabled children will be considered so that they can cater for their domestic and academic upbringing.

Dr Ampomah when questioned over why he opted for the above initiative during an exclusive interview with XYZ News disclosed that the first phase of employment of 74 disabled persons by government to manage toll booths in the country was what inspired him to make such an innovative move.

Government’s recognition of their potential and what they can contribute towards the growth of the economy he underlined as an excellent step which calls for support of all stakeholders in the country.

Dr Samuel Ampomah who claimed to have cures to over 3,650 ailments and yet to come out with herbal cures to other 20 diseases promised to use his facility to train them ( persons with disability) plus the offering of free accomodation.

He has therefore called on government to support him with an amount of Gh 70,000 to help make this initiative a reality.
