Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako affectionately called Chairman Wontumi wants henceforth to be addressed as ”Doctor Governor Chairman Wontumi”
“Henceforth everyone must address me as Doctor Governor Chairman Wontumi because these names are my titles”, he disclosed on Accra-based Okay FM on Wednesday.
The African Gold Awards ceremony which seeks to honour Africans who have excelled in their various scopes of work a week ago conferred an Honorary Doctorate Degree on the NPP stalwart for his outstanding performance and contribution to humanity.
A citation that accompanied the award said the inspirational young NPP Regional Chairman is known for his humanitarian service to society and is also credited with the party’s outstanding performance in the 2016 elections, citing his selfless contributions to humanity through his entrepreneurial skills, charity and dedication to the general development of society’.
Chairman Wontumi revealed that prior to receiving the Honorary Doctorate; he was already the Governor of the Ashanti Region as he proved his supremacy over others in internal and external contests.
He also disclosed that he will go into future elections as Chairman of the party unopposed and therefore advised those who may be nursing the ambition of challenging him not to waste their resources.
“Kwame, I am going unopposed because I control the region that is how come I want all of you to address me as Doctor Governor Chairman Wontumi”, he advised.
