Government determined to transform nation, First lady

Otumi (Eastern Region) 24 May, The First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings has said the government is dertmined to transform Ghana and improve the standard of living of the people. Nana Konadu said by the year 2010, every community would have potable water and every district capital, a hospital, with clinics in every town. The Eastern Regional Minister, Miss Patience Adow asked women to embrace the 31st December Women’s Movement and get involved in its activities because it is dedicated to the advancement of women and the welfare of the family and the nation. Miss Mary Amankwaa, Eastern Regional organiser of the Movement said the UNFPA initially joined hands with the movement to educate people, especially int eh hinterlands on the usefulness of family planning.
