Missing bag: Quiz mistress distraught

The Ministries Police station has launched investigations into the theft of a handbag belonging to the quiz mistress of the National Science and Maths Quiz.

The black bag with red zipper of Dr Elsie Effah Kaufmann was stolen at the National Theatre after the final of the 2017 edition of the quiz on Thursday June 29.

By 11am Friday, June 30, the bag had still not been found as police investigators met with the mistress and some officials of Primetime, organisers of the quiz.

Dr Kaufmann is reported to have been disturbed following the theft as she was planning to do a quick return to her other engagements after the competition.

The bag contained her phone, ID card, car keys, and keys to her house, and other items.

She realised her bag was missing after she presented the trophy to contestants from Prempeh College, winners of this year’s competition.

Headmaster of Prempeh College, Samuel Fordjour had earlier on Friday said the bag had been found.
